VTS Done
On Sunday 23rd July OMCC hosted the 5th and final round of the 2023 Victorian Trials Series. It was another great trial at one of our favourite properties. We hosted roughly 70 entrants on the banks of the Barwon River. The OMCC team pulled together and had roughly 14 Section setters which made light work of the prep as well as a hardy and cheerful group of volunteer observer and event officials, scorers etc.
It was awesome to see Benny & Noel doing the TdN fundraiser BBQ and thank you to those who supported it.
OMCC sincerely thanks all those who were involved and work across this and the other rounds to make the VTS a great success.
Congratulations to all OMCC riders who placed in this round and across the series. Trophies will be handed out at the Vic Titles in August.
Kids Training
OMCC is happy to announce that we now have two Motorcycling Australia Club Coaches.
This means that we can now do our own juniors KICK START training to help kids on their way to a Competition Licence.
Now that we are affiliated with Motorcycling Australia the requirement for a junior’s competition licence is as follows:
1) Complete five hours training and have their KICK START book filled by a MA Club Coach. This needs to be done under a MV KICK START Permit by a Club Coach.
2) Once the training and KICK START book are completed application for a licence can be made.
3) Competitive junior’s licences are in several categories (refer MOMS for Twinshock):
7 – 11 up to 80cc.
7 – 16 up to 125cc.
4) The KICK START book will also have an endorsement of the capacity of the bike.
5) If the child wishes to move to a higher capacity a Club Coach must endorse this change in the KICK START book.
6) There is no longer a requirement to do 5 hrs training each year to upkeep the licence.

Chris Bayles training a great success
OMCC hosted Chris Bayles for some great training on the weekend of 29th-30th July.
Chris is one of Australia’s best riders and represents Australia at the TdN.
All attendees seemed to get a lot out of it based on the feedback we received, and we hope to have Chris back next year.
Thanks to the OMCC team members who helped make it happen.

Summer Series will be back in 2023/24
Back by popular demand is the OMCC Summer series.
Lock in the following dates:
- Saturday 11th Nov 2023
- Saturday 9th Dec 2023
- Saturday 20th Jan 2024
- Saturday 10th Feb 2024
OMCC will also be seeking sponsorship opportunities. If you know of someone who would be interested in making a contribution to support the series please get in touch with the club.
We will be introducing a 50/50 category to spice things up and push riders along.

Easter Trial Sub-Committee
Running our traditional Glenmaggie Easter Trial is a significant undertaking.
OMCC are seeking expression of interest to form a sub-committee to help run and coordinate the event. If you think you can help, please get in touch with the club.
OMCC Teams at the upcoming Aussie Titles
The Australia Titles will be help in South Australia this year. There is likely to be a large contingent of OMCC riders in attendance.
If you have an interest in forming a team please let the club committee know so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Teams are generally groups of 4 people.
Upcoming Events
We encourage all OMCC members to attend the upcoming TdN Fundraiser on Aug 6th. Similar fundraiser events are happening in most states across the country in order to support getting our TdN team overseas. It’s also run in the style of the TdN (lots of fun) so get your group together and enter.
